I highly recommend Ian! I needed someone to carefully thin and improve the shape of a large crab apple tree in a very small patio garden — he did a beautiful job, creating light and balance. Sparrowhawk Trees did an outstanding job removing a large Sycamore tree that was damaging my property and clearing some bushes in the back garden. The work was completed to the highest standard, and all debris was thoroughly removed. Their communication was excellent; they provided a detailed written quotation and promptly answered all my questions. Impressively, they did not request any payment until the work was fully completed. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received and would definitely use them again.

They skillfully and carefully removed 6 big trees from my garden, grinding down more of the stump than I had paid for simply because they had time left in the day — very kind and massively appreciated. Ian did a fantastic job of pruning our big fig tree, which had got out of control, extending over neighbours' gardens and the street. He was super knowledgeable and friendly, gave helpful advice on another tree, and left us with a pile of neatly sawn firewood too. Very quick and efficient. Would highly recommend!

Ian and his team did an excellent job of cutting back four overgrown trees in our church garden, two of which are very close to the church wall and one storm-damaged Olive we were not sure could be saved. At the initial site visit, Ian gave considered and honest advice on how best to approach the work. On the day, Jacob and Oliver worked with care and efficiency, and did a thorough clear up. A few months on the trees look great and the Olive is thriving. We also chose Sparrowhawk because of their environmental approach, working with local groups to make use of the waste chip and logs. Excellent! Called earlier in the year, got a very reasonable quote over FaceTime. Very accommodating around my booking date. Called on a random day off and the team were local so managed to attend the same day. Very friendly and professional, explained the work, laid down sheets to protect the garden, worked non-stop, cleaned up and done in a few hours. Very very happy with the work. Will be calling these guys back and have recommended to neighbours and family.

We are so impressed with Ian and his team. They are knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and extremely good value for money. We were nervous about getting our silver birch reduced after seeing other trees hacked back and losing their shape. Ian was really thoughtful and explained how his team would approach the work to preserve its beauty. Ian did a pollard/crown reduction of our large willow tree (approx 40ft) that had spread across our neighbour's garden. We are in a conservation area and Ian sorted out the council paperwork. The team arrived on time, completed the work over two days, and all spoil came out through the house — no damage to kitchen cupboards, and they laid plastic tarps throughout. When it rained on the second day, Ian and Jacob wrapped the spoil in large plastic bags before bringing it through the house. The tree now has a nice shape and the cost for a five man-day job was very reasonable. I would certainly recommend Sparrowhawk Trees to anyone.

Ian and his fab team at Sparrowhawk are the absolute best. They've completed a couple of jobs for us (stump grinding and a separate tree removal) and both were completed on time and very carefully. The tree removal was a beast of a job — taking an entire dead ash tree down and out through the kitchen and hallway. They had 6 people on site and were incredibly conscious of keeping the inside of the house intact. Ian was also very kind in managing my emotions around losing the tree. Ultimately Ian really is the best and you can tell he is well liked by his team.

Ian did the original visit and discussed very fully what would be done and the cost. Three members of his team arrived on the agreed date and set to work, first laying plastic covering throughout the ground floor of my house. Before starting we discussed exactly what was to be done. They did a perfect job, cleared all the mess and left a very satisfied customer. I would strongly recommend and will use them again when needed.

A great job was done by Ian. He removed a large tree stump from my back garden. He had to walk through my house with the equipment as I don't have side access, and he laid down cover all through so there was no mess on my floors. He worked tirelessly and completed the job so well that you would never know that a tree had been there. He removed the excess chippings and filled and flattened the stump area. I had many quotes for this job, and Ian was the best price by far. He was professional and worked very hard. I will definitely book him again for any future work.

Ian worked on felling our tree in Summer 2023. Not only was he totally professional before, during and after, super tidy and polite, but it was amazing to see that he upcycled our tree into a wonderful rocking chair! We would definitely recommend.
